Morett will bring balance, new ideas to Legislature

November 1, 2016

As published in the Statesman Journal –

I would encourage everyone in House District 20 to support Laura Morett. After the last legislative session especially, we need some balance and new ideas. Laura’s background and pragmatism would make her an asset in that body.

Please vote for Laura Morett!

Morett will support working families, not gross government spending

October 20, 2016

As published in the Statesman Journal

As a wife, mother and grandmother, Laura Morett understands the importance of family in community.
Laura knows that to help families in Oregon, it is important that they don’t have to worry about costly budget increases, which means less money to them.

One way Laura supports families is her support for the personal tax kicker in Oregon. Many Democrats think the state should get to keep over-collected tax money in a “rainy day” fund.

This money belongs to hardworking families who are often struggling to make ends meet. Laura understands that this money could mean a new pair of shoes for a child or being able to comfortably buy school supplies for a family of four.

I support Laura Morett for Oregon House District 20 because she understands the very real financial demands that raising a family takes. She will vote to support working families, not gross government spending.

Vote for Morett for some positive change in Oregon Legislature

October 18, 2016

As published in the Statesman Journal

Living in Oregon my entire life, I’ve seen many politicians come and go. Some good, some not so good and others outright scandalous.

One thing they all talked about was the “positive change” they were capable of bringing. Indeed, some have helped make positive transformation to our regions or state. As for others, their tenure won’t be missed.

Every year we have an opportunity to vote for someone new to a position of our governing body who is equipped and willing to fight for change.

This year I believe we have the opportunity to vote for such a candidate in Laura Morett, who is running for the House District 20 seat.

She is a person of impeccable character and unmatched drive. She loves to win and wants to bring a win for us Oregonians at the Capitol. She wants to represent us, the people, and not a special interest group.

I believe Laura has the fight and ingenuity to take on the issues we as a state are facing and to help bring a win for us.

So this year when I’m marking my ballot, Laura Morett has my vote for the “positive change” we desperately need.
