Jobs & Economy
Every year as small business owners, my husband and I ask each other the same question – is it worth it to keep our doors open for another year? I bet we are not the only ones asking this question because the regulation required by state government is making it more and more difficult to create jobs in Oregon.
Schools & Education
This should not be a debate about teachers vs. taxpayers. This is about making sure our kids have the best education we can give them. I believe that local control and local engagement is the best way to work our way through these issues, beginning with making sure that the money we spend is used effectively.
Our state has been dominated by one party for nearly thirty years. Sadly, we have seen corruption creep into the top levels of our state. Our government was designed to function with checks and balances and for too many years, those balances have been eliminated.
