Oregonians for Food and Shelter
Endorses Laura Morett for State Representative in House District 20
SALEM – Laura Morett has received the endorsement of the Oregonians for Food and Shelter as their choice for state representative HD 20. House district 20 includes Monmouth, Independence and parts of west and south Salem. “Receiving the endorsement of an organization that represents the individuals who daily pour their lives into producing the food and fiber we need at the same time protecting our vast agricultural lands is humbling,” said Laura.
The mission of Oregonians for Food and Shelter is to provide the public with education regarding the safe usage and importance of pesticides, fertilizers and biotechnology. True stewards to the environment, their farm and forest partners are professionals seeking to provide safe, high quality and affordable food and fiber products for Oregon and beyond by using all available tools judiciously and lawfully. Not only do they strive for the safety of the public, they seek to create a safe and sustainable environment.
Having grown up on a farm in Shaw, Oregon, Laura knows firsthand the importance of hard work and supporting your neighbors. “My father taught us that if there was a problem, grab your gloves, put on your boots and go fix it. And this is the attitude I have and will take to the Legislature,” said Morett.
Laura Morett is a lifetime Oregonian and lives in Salem with her husband Dan. They have three children and two grandchildren. Laura has worked in the legal field as well as help her husband manage their small business – Morett Construction.
