Morett has common sense, firsthand experience

September 23, 2016

As published in the Statesman Journal-

The myriad of business-killing regulations that the Oregon Legislature is forcing on Oregon businesses must stop. Legislation such as sick pay leave, the minimum wage increase and “ban the box” are going to result in fewer jobs for everyone.

The proposed predictive scheduling legislation that will add the burden of forcing small business to guarantee particular hours to an employee regardless of fluctuations in the business’ need for these employees will put a stranglehold on employers in this state.

Laura Morett has the common sense and firsthand experience as the owner of a small business to know what is reasonable and what is not. Our representatives need to understand what it means to sign the front of a paycheck and to be responsible for another’s livelihood.

Please join me in voting for Laura Morett for state representative in November.
