OBA PAC Announces Final Candidate Endorsements in Oregon’s Hottest Races
Laura Morett endorsed for State Representative in House District 20
Salem – Oregon Business Association’s Political Action Committee (PAC) announced Laura Morett has been endorsed for her election as State Representative to HD20. In a statement released by OBA “Oregon Business Association’s Political Action Committee (PAC) has worked hard on a thorough and thoughtful candidate endorsement process throughout the election cycle,” said PAC Chair John Russell of Russell Development, Inc. OBA’s PAC is dedicated to making a significant impact by electing balanced, thoughtful and courageous candidates to leadership positions in Oregon.
OBA was formed by a group of Oregon business leaders and provides bipartisan, statewide business leadership that strives to ensure Oregon’s continued economic competitiveness. Their membership spans more than 250 businesses, from Portland to Boardman, from homegrown to Fortune 500. They support OBA’s commitment to a healthy economy for all Oregonians. OBA brings together Oregon businesses large and small, urban and rural – working to achieve balanced policy solutions to strengthen quality of life and the state’s long-term economic competitiveness.
In response to receiving the OBA endorsement Laura said: “It is an honor to be endorsed by one of Oregon’s top business trade groups that has a history of non-partisan support to candidates. My focus on small business development and job creation will continue to be a top priority.”
Laura will be a champion for small business issues in the legislature. She will fight new taxes on small businesses who continue to struggle with an unpredictable economy and work to eliminate unnecessary regulations which cause small businesses to close. “I know more support for new businesses will give them a greater chance of success to create jobs,” said Morett.
Laura Morett is a lifetime Oregonian and lives in Salem with her husband Dan. They have three children and two grandchildren. Laura has worked in the legal field as well as help her husband manage their small business for 28 years – Morett Construction.
