Endorses Laura Morett for State Representative in House District 20
SALEM – Laura Morett has received the endorsement of the conservators of the peace – the Sheriffs of Oregon, PAC as their choice for state representative HD 20. House district 20 includes Monmouth, Independence and parts of west and south Salem. Laura said “I am humbled and honored to have received the endorsement of the Sheriffs of Oregon. These are the men and women who put their lives on the line every day they work.”
The Sheriffs of Oregon political action committee (SOO-PAC) is the voice of Oregon’s 36 elected sheriffs. Retired Sheriff John Bishop stated “The endorsement of Laura Morett, is the result of careful consideration by the Sheriffs of Oregon. We are confident that Laura will promote laws designed to better protect Oregonians and their families by making law enforcement effective.”
Having married into a family of law enforcement, Laura understands the importance of effective law enforcement. Her father in-law is a retired LAPD detective. “Vic served and protected those in his community for over 25 years. He taught his family to be chosen to serve is an honor and privilege,” said Morett.
Laura Morett is a lifetime Oregonian and lives in Salem with her husband Dan. They have three children and two grandchildren. Laura has worked in the legal field as well as help her husband manage their small business – Morett Construction.
